In 2002, PMA Inc. had completed construction of 650 closed office and meeting rooms at CDP Capital Center located in downtown Montreal. The wall system used to assemble the offices within this space was the Finesse Series movable walls from Starwall. The removable wall system was chosen for its flexibility, its design and competitive cost. We consulted 12 manufacturers of demountable walls for this project. In the end, the Starwall walls allowed the greatest flexibility during redevelopment. The Starwall system is completely demountable and can be reassembled in new configurations of offices or meeting rooms. The offices were located in the periphery of buildings and are comprised of a large amount glass which enables natural light to illuminate the spaces, thus creating a significant savings in electrical utility costs. The typical office at CDP Capital Center measured in at 10' x 12 ' and the height of the standard offices were 9'.

These Starwall movable walls are composed of an aluminum frame in which two panels of melamine from Uniboard, enclose an acoustic insulation. The system also allows a total reversal of doors because of its unique aluminum hinges. The offices each have a glass front of 7 'long by 9' high made with tempered glass with a thickness of 8mm. The doors are varnished solid wood doors with a height of 9 foot tall. The coefficient of acoustic wall Starwall STC is 41. Starwall walls have been placed on a carpet tile with double sided Velcro and fixed to the ceiling with Caddy Clips (brackets) which do not damage the ceiling suspensions.
